Immersed in the scent of roses and flowers, Villa Aguglie lies on a slope overlooking the country side.

The Villa is about 4 km away from the baroque city of Modica, with views of the Mediterranea sea, interspersed with carob trees and dry stone walls. Villa Aguglie is recognized by the Superintendency of Ragusa, as a: "Building of historical, artistic and architectural interest particularly important as it represents a splendid example of a noble villa of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The interiors of the Villa retain original stone floors, stencils and frescoes expertly restored and maintained. The Villa is spread over two levels, the ground floor is accessed directly from the Arabian garden full of seasonal flowers, citrus trees and ornamental plants, whilst the 1st floor, is accessed through a main entrance which also opens onto a garden with raised flower planters.

Al 1° piano si accede alla casa padronale da un ingresso principale che si apre sempre sul giardino a fioriere rialzate.

The entrance to the villa is easily identified due to the two monumental columns adorned with noble coat of arms, the characteristic garfish, ‘aguglie’, which not only give the name to the Villa, but also to the surrounding country side.
